\n \n <\/span>\n \n The range of frequency used in typical red light therapy devices is from 650 nm (a deep red, penetrates the skin and acts on mitochondria) to 850 nm (near-infrared, penetrates deeper into tissue).

\n The potential applications of PBMT are numerous and are being explored experimentally at the basic science, pre-clinical and clinical level. The current clinical uses are for the relief of pain and inflammation and the treatment of sports injuries.
